While Dakota was at Eli's house, Eli FaceTimed Justin and showed him Dakota’s face. Justin, who was in the car on his way home from a long day at work, was incredibly surprised. He immediately said, “I’m coming over!” and hung up. Later that afternoon, Justin arrived, and everyone had a wonderful time catching up. Before Dakota left, they invited her to come back in November for Eli’s birthday party.
When the time came, Dakota arrived at the party right on time, but Justin did not show up for another two hours. To Dakota's surprise, when he finally walked in, he was with another girl! Fortunately, it turned out to be just his longtime best friend, Jessica. Justin and Dakota chatted through the night as they celebrated Eli’s birthday, and Dakota returned home to Houston later that evening.
Soon after, Justin began texting Dakota. They kept in constant contact and spent the next couple of months making plans to travel back and forth between Houston and Austin just to hang out and have fun. Over time, romantic feelings began to grow. Justin officially asked Dakota to be his girlfriend on February 16, 2024. They continued their long-distance travel between the two cities until October 2024, and they have been inseparable ever since.
In April of 2026, they went to Denver, Colorado, to visit Justin's older sister, Makayla, and her boyfriend, Thomas. During this week-long vacation, Justin waited for the perfect moment to pop the question that would decide how they would spend the rest of their lives together. Dakota said YES! They are so excited for this new chapter of their lives and are incredibly grateful to celebrate it with all of you!
